Our Services

Lake Home Valet 100 Point Home and Personal Needs Survey – We perform a thorough evaluation of your entire property, including: exterior/interior & foundation structural, roofing, doors & windows, garage & out-buildings, heating/ventilation/air conditioning system, electrical, water system, plumbing, septic system, fireplace/wood /gas stove, security system, utility service connections, dock & boat lift, retaining wall, exterior generator, landscaping, and more. The Personal Needs Survey is an assessment of your individual needs, such as back-up entry for home services provider, opening & closing services, door flyer & mailbox clearing, test-validate security system, dock ice-breaker management, and more.

Monthly Service Plans

100 Point Home & Personal Needs Survey, one scheduled monthly visit, one post-storm visit (as needed), and one customizable Personal Service Option. Includes all services of the Concierge Plan, with a choice of four customizable Personal Service Options.

All plans include direct cell phone access to your valet, a Home-Visit Report via email (pdf) or fax following each scheduled or post-storm visit, a Problem Discovery Notification via phone, email or fax when a problem is noted in a visit, and monthly invoices via email (pdf).

Personal Service Options

  • Faux-Occupancy – A weekly service that creates the impression that your home is occupied, when it is vacant. Techniques include a balance of adjusting interior/exterior lighting, blinds & drapes, interior “sound production” (stereo/TV/radio etc.) clearing snow from driveway and entryway, “tracks” leading to entryways and dock, depleting exterior wood piles (fireplace & stove supply), ice breaker management, and additional services unique to your property. Available as a service option with the Platinum Concierge plan. Available on a cost-per visit, with the Valet and Concierge plans.
  • Garaged Vehicle Start-up – We start your stored vehicle, and run it for 10 minutes.
  • Stand-By Generator Testing
  • Lawn & Landscaping Management – With our Preferred Provider
  • Opening & Closing Services Management – With our Preferred Provider
  • Weekly Interior Temperature Check
  • Back-Up Entry for Utilities and Renters

Post-Storm Services

Lake Home Valet monitors weather conditions and predictions via an in-office La Crosse Wireless Weather Station, an NOAA Emergency Alert Radio, and on-line at The Weather Channel interactive website. Lake Home Valet’s criteria for a post-storm visit is when the National Weather Service elevates an alert from “Watch” to “Warning” in one or all of the counties we serve.

Following a wind storm(+ 30 MPH), severe electrical thunderstorm, ice storm, or a snow storm exceeding 12 inches, we will visit your property, assess any possible damage or mitigation needs, and issue a Problem Discovery Notification Form to you. Should the nature of the problem be of an emergency nature, we will call you immediately to request your direction for further actions, with either utilities or contractors.

All plans include post-storm visits.

Preferred Providers & Lake Home Valet Repair & Maintenance Services

When we discover a problem we will provide basic mediation services to neutralize the cause of the problem, if possible. We then offer the following service plans:

You receive a Problem Discovery Notification Form from Lake Home Valet, and you follow-up with either your service provider, or Lake Home Valet Preferred Provider. We will confirm completion of the repair/maintenance process, and issue you a Repair Validation Report. You receive a Problem Discovery Notification Form, and we contact the appropriate Lake Home Valet Preferred Provider, and obtain an estimate of the cost of the repair/maintenance. When you have accepted the estimate, you contract directly with the Provider. We will confirm completion of the repair/maintenance process, and issue you a Repair Validation Report. All services and terms in the Concierge plan, plus we will conduct on-site observation of the repair process, representing you. We will validate the repair or maintenance has been completed, and provide you with a Lake Home Valet Repair Validation Report.

Lake Home Valet has an implied fiduciary responsibility to you, the owner. We do not maintain any direct financial or commission relationship with any of our Preferred Providers. We recommend and work with these providers based on existing trusted relationships we have developed with them, over years of owning and managing property in the Finger Lakes area. They warrant their services, materials and equipment directly to you. A list of Lake Home Valet Preferred Providers is available to all our clients, and will be provided at the initial Survey.
